Our original office opened in June 1990 by Dr. Hasday and a staff of one. In January, 2003 we moved into our new, state of the art facility. The staff is now thirteen people and five members have been with the office for over fifteen years. Our mission is to provide excellence in comprehensive periodontal and implant dentistry in a safe, sterile and comforting environment.

STERILIZATION:

We follow all ADA, CDC and OSHA guidelines for infection control. We steam sterilize all instruments and handpieces. We monitor each item in the autoclave and we check that the autoclave is working properly with a spore test that is sent to an independent laboratory. Our office is modern and up-to-date and we take advantage of emerging technologies.

NEW TECHNOLOGIES:

Computerized Digital Radiography (CDR):

We have been utilizing CDR since 1998. CDR differs from regular x-rays because an x-ray is taken off a computer sensor and not an x-ray film. The sensor then digitizes the image and instantly puts it on the computer screen. There are no caustic chemicals or x-ray waste to pollute our environment and you benefit because you get up to 90% less radiation. The images are also simple and inexpensive to duplicate.

Computerized Digital Panorex:
We have incorporated a new digital panorex.   The entire mouth is visualized in one panoramic image. There is less radiation and the sensor does not have to go in your mouth. The images are great, but they do not entirely replace conventional dental intraoral x-rays. They are a tremendous asset for use in implant dentistry and for dental diagnostics.

Intraoral Videography:
Our office has used intraoral imaging since 1991 to aid in patient education and insurance documentation. Intraoral imaging is simply a video picture of the inside of your mouth. You can actually see what is going on in your mouth on a television screen.

Bone Grafting and Bio-Engineering:
In many cases we can replace lost periodontal supporting tissues using bone growth factors which are gradually becoming commercially available.

We have acquired a Harvest machine. During some surgical procedures we use your own blood which is spun down in a centrifuge to obtain a concentrated solution of platelets (platelet rich plasma or PRP).  This PRP when mixed with different tissues provides proteins which stimulate angiogenesis (new blood supply) and osteogenesis (new bone growth) in tissue and bone grafts.

Lasers:
Dr. Hasday has extensively researched and experimented with lasers in periodontal therapy.  He is constantly updating his education to keep abreast of current advances.

We have incorporated a WaterLase MD into our practice. After years of studying the use of lasers in dentistry, we have decided it was time to offer a new level of patient care. The WaterLase is the finest laser available for dentistry. It is versatile and it allows certain procedures to be done with little or no local anesthesia. Ask us how we can incorporate the laser into your dental care. Our patient's experiences have been wonderful.

Flat Screens:

LCD monitors are present in all treatment rooms. These are available for patients to watch satellite television and for use as computer monitors.  We also use them to view the inside of your mouth on our intraoral video camera and to view computer generated x-rays.

Internet connections:

We have a multi-workstation computer network with high speed internet access and a router to allow internet connections at all dental units and workstations.

Electronic Claims:
Our office submits most of our insurance claims electronically.  The processing time for claims has been reduced in some cases by 6 to 8 weeks.

Computerized Charting:
We now enter data into the computer at the chairside to allow easier communication with insurance companies. We can attach computerized charting to electronically produced insurance claims and get quicker answers from your insurance company. Electronic record keeping also is more accurate.

Reception Room:
We have a plasma screen television and fireplace in our reception area to make your waiting time more comfortable and pass more quickly.

Are You New to Our Practice?

Great! We welcome all new patients. As a new patient, you can type and print your patient information form from this website. Please fill it out and bring it with you at your first visit. The information is necessary to provide you with the best dental care possible. Generally, your first appointment will be for an examination only. Please try to obtain any x-rays from your dentist. These will assist in determining your diagnosis. If necessary, we will take supplemental x-rays. If you can not get your x-rays, don't worry, we can do the examination and get them at a later date. If your needs are more of an emergency, please let us know and we will make sure to see you as quickly as possible.

Do you have any questions?
You can call our office or e-mail us to get information. You can ask to speak with Dr. Hasday personally. We always take the time to carefully address your concerns.
